Shop and Go

Galatea, Federated Commonwealth, 3041-05-16

Marquess Heimstad was very pleased with our services. We sold the Ostroc and the Cyclops, but kept the Awesome. The latter was altered into a copy of HOD-7s 'Mech and after that we headed home to Galatea. Back home we bought some armor, 'Mech weapons and other equipment to fill our inventory. As we still had plenty of money left we decided to resolve our 'Mech shortage. HOD-5 got a brand-new Axeman, her favoured Battlemech and HOD-6 got a new Archer featuring Artemis IV fire control system. Besides these two we got some even rare types. For our new member HOD-10 we bought an Exterminator and changed the LRM for four medium lasers, to get a dangerous and fast close combat beast. Our best acquisition was a starleague era Flashman. We were very lucky to get that one, but also had to pay a high price - the highest price we have ever paid for a 'Mech, yet - as it swallowed up 25,000,000.- C-notes. With HOD Leader in the Charger, HOD-10 in the Exterminator and HOD-4 from now on piloting the Flashman, we can nearly deploy a fast and punishing lance.
Our infantry and support troops also got a little boost in Chuck Barrie, our new infantry leader, who succeded our departed Brian O'Kelly. Our last addition were two Skulker recon vehicles togehter with a cryptographer and a comtech we engaged for one year. They are allowed to pursue their research, as long as they are not needed for assignments and as long as our unit may benefit from their achievement.
