2 - Duration of this ContractThe Duration of this Contract is open-ended. 3 - Cancellation of ContractThe Contract can be cancelled by the Employer with 30 days prior notice in written form. The Contract can be cancelled by the Employee with 30 days prior notice in written form to either the CO or the S1 Officer. When the Employee is a shareholder of HOD he receives his contributed capital (see 4) in C-Notes at the last day of the duration of his contract when available, otherwise he gets the appropriate sum in spare parts/ammunition. When the Employee is currently assigned to a mission, or gets assigned to a mission during the 30 days after he noticed the CO/S1 his contract automatically extends to the date the mission ends. The contract can also be cancelled as part of a disciplinary measure by the S1 and CO in case of misconduct of the Employee. In such a case the Employee forfeits the right to get his BattleMech or an appropriate sum of money back in case of a Co-Owner Employee. 4 - Co-Ownership OptionUpon accepting this contract and at any other point in time the Employee may decide to become a Co-Owner of HOD. To do so he has to transfer the property rights of a BattleMech that belongs to him and is in the weight band of 40 to 100 tons to the unit. In return he gets one vote in ballots affecting the unit. The Employee can request property of his BattleMech back at any time but does loose his voting rights. If, at the time of leave, the original BattleMech has been sold or destroyed the Unit either gives the Employee a sum corresponding to the value of the original BattleMech or an adequate replacememnt 'Mech. 5 - Salary5.1 - Non Co-Ownership EmployeeThe base salary for a MechWarrior serving with HOD is 8.000,- C-Notes per Month. When the MechWarrior proves his worth his salary will be increased. 5.2 - Co-Ownership EmployeeThe salary of a Co-Ownership Employee is a 5% of every income the units generates. 6 - Rights and Duties of the Employee6.1 - Rights of the Employee6.1.1 - Mending and Maintenance of Battlemechs6.1.1.1 - Non Co-Ownership EmployeeNon Co-Ownership Employees have a right to get their 'Mech repaired if it got damaged during combat operations. If the employee wants to customize his 'Mech he can use the units technical assets and personell, but has to cover the costs of all new parts to be installes by himself. If the customization serves the tactical orientation of the unit the unit will cover all expenses. This decisions is come to by the S3. 6.1.1.2 - Co-Ownership EmployeeA Co-Ownership Employee that did transfer the property rights of a BattleMech to the unit have a right to get their 'Mech repaired, maintained and customized. The total costs are paid from the cash pool of the unit. 6.1.2 - Voting Rights6.1.1.1 - Non Co-Ownership EmployeeNon Co-Ownership Employees do not have any rights in ballots concerning ballots affecting the units long-term development and choice of assignments. 6.1.1.2 - Co-Ownership EmployeeA Co-Ownership Employee has rights concerning ballots affecting the units long-term development and choice of assignments. In a ballot there is one vote for every Co-Ownership Employee. In case of a standoff the Commander has a second vote. 6.2 - Duties of the Employee6.2.1 Esteem HOD Code of ConductThe Employee has to esteem the following principles:
Violation of these Principles leads to punishment by the direct superior, the S1 or the CO. Punishment ranges from fines to immediate dismissal. 6.2.2 ObedienceThe Employee has to be obedient to the CO and any other person the CO declares superior to the Employee. Insubordination leads to punishment by the direct superior, the S1 or the CO. Punishment ranges from fines to immediate dismissal. 6.2.3 CarefulnessThe Employee has to deal carefully with every piece of equipment the units allocates to him. Equipment which gets damaged or destroyed due to careless dealing on behalf of the Employee allows HOD to claim the appropriate value of the Employee. 6.2.4 Adequate BehaviourThe behaviour of a Employee of HOD on as well as off the battlefield determines the reputation of the unit. Therefor every member of HOD has to show a behaviour at all times that does not cast a damning light on the unit as a whole and has to speak of the unit only respectfully. Punishment ranges from fines to immediate dismissal. 7 - RankEvery Employee enters service with HOD with the rank they achieved in their prior military career. As within HOD the Lyran Commonwealth Rank Structure is used, the rank designation of the Employee is changed accordingly. |
